About MJ Landscapes

A Local Business Built on Experience

MJ Landscapes is a local landscaping and grounds maintenance business serving customers across Bradford and West Yorkshire.

We started the business in 2005, and over the years we’ve grown through hard work, experience and, most importantly, recommendations from our customers.

We’re proud to be a hands-on business. Whether we’re working on a domestic garden, maintaining commercial grounds or taking on a larger landscaping project, we believe in doing the job properly and leaving the site looking its best.

Over the years we’ve invested in our machinery, tools and equipment so that we can take on a wide range of work ourselves. We also carry out much of our own machinery maintenance and repairs, helping us keep things running efficiently and reducing our reliance on outside contractors.

Experience You Can See in the Work

Our experience covers everything from garden maintenance and landscaping through to commercial grounds maintenance and sports-turf maintenance.

We have qualifications including NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Sports-Turf Maintenance, Chainsaw Maintenance & Felling of Small Trees up to 380mm (formerly CS30-31), Ecologists Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue (formerly CS38), as well as spraying certifications PA1, PA2a, PA2f and PA6a.

We also hold certification for the safe use of handheld hedge cutters, alongside many years of practical experience working outdoors.

But qualifications only tell part of the story. Much of what we know has come from years of working on different sites, solving problems as they arise and learning what works in the real world.

Domestic Landscaping & Garden Projects

Domestic work has always been an important part of MJ Landscapes.

We’ve worked on a wide range of gardens and outdoor spaces, from regular lawn and garden maintenance through to larger landscaping projects and complete garden improvements.

Our domestic work includes patios and flagging, decking, fencing, turfing, raised beds, planting, lawn improvements, hedge and shrub maintenance and general garden care.

Every garden is different, and we enjoy working with customers to understand what they want from their outdoor space and then turning those ideas into something practical and enjoyable.

Whether it’s a small garden improvement or a larger outdoor transformation, we approach every domestic project with the same care and attention to detail.

Experience Beyond Domestic Landscaping

Over the years, our work has also taken us beyond individual gardens and residential projects.

We’ve worked directly with a number of schools and educational sites, carrying out landscaping, grounds maintenance and other outdoor works.

We’ve also worked on larger projects for established organisations. For example, we carried out work as a subcontractor to PEC Building Services on the Swine Flu Centre car park project in Bradford — thankfully, it was never actually needed.

We’ve also carried out work directly for Bupa-owned sites, including Spire Hospital in Huddersfield, as well as working with established local businesses such as Barwick’s Bathrooms.

These projects have given us experience working across different types of sites, from domestic gardens through to larger commercial, healthcare, educational and construction environments.

MJ Landscapes Today

Today, MJ Landscapes continues to work with both domestic and commercial customers across Bradford and West Yorkshire, providing landscaping, garden maintenance, grounds maintenance and a range of outdoor services.

From individual garden projects and regular maintenance to larger commercial sites and ongoing grounds maintenance, our work continues to grow through existing customers, recommendations and new enquiries.

We’ve grown over the years, but we still want to keep the personal approach that helped build the business in the first place.

We’re a hands-on business, and we’re proud of the fact that our work is carried out by people who understand the job.

The machinery, tools and equipment are important, but so are experience, attention to detail and taking pride in the finished result.

That’s the approach we’ve built MJ Landscapes around since 2005, and it’s the approach we intend to keep.
